📖 Citations / Sources – Show Users Where Answers Come From

You can enable or disable the option for users to see the exact sources the AI chatbot used to generate its answers.

✅ How It Works

  • When a user asks a question, the AI chatbot provides the answer
  • Below the response, users can view “Answer Sources”
  • The sources display the specific knowledge base links or documents the AI used to create the answer

✅ Why Use Citations?

  • Increases transparency and trust
  • Helps users verify the information
  • Useful for knowledge bases with detailed articles, FAQs, or documentation

✅ How to Enable or Disable Citations

  1. Go to the Update tab of your AI chatbot
  2. Navigate to Advanced Settings
  3. Scroll down to find the option "Show Data Sources"
  4. Check or uncheck the box to enable or disable this feature
  5. When enabled, sources appear in the chat widget under the AI’s answer

💡 Tip: Enable this feature if you want users to verify answers or easily access linked documents and pages from your knowledge base.
