πŸ”— Connect Twilio

Some countries have strict telecom regulations that limit how phone numbers can be purchased or used. For these regions, the easiest solution is to connect your own Twilio account to ChatAgentLab.

Region-Specific Restrictions (UK, Germany, France, etc.)

Countries such as the UK, Germany, France, and several others require additional business verification before a number can be issued. This often includes:

  • Business registration documents
  • Proof of address
  • Government-issued identification

Because of these country-specific rules, numbers may not be available for direct purchase inside ChatAgentLab.

If your region has restrictions, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Twilio account at twilio.com.
  2. Complete Twilio’s Number Registration Process for your country.
  3. Upload the required documents when Twilio requests them.
  4. Once your number is verified and active, you can connect it to ChatAgentLab.

Twilio will guide you through the entire compliance workflow and notify you when the number is ready.

Connecting an Existing Twilio Account

If you already have active Twilio numbers β€” or prefer to manage numbers manually β€” you can integrate Twilio directly with ChatAgentLab.

How to connect:

  1. Open the Phone Numbers page in ChatAgentLab.
  2. Click Integrate Twilio in the top-right corner.
  3. Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token.
  4. Your Twilio numbers will automatically appear inside ChatAgentLab.

Once synced, you can assign any of your Twilio numbers to your AI Voice Agents just like a normal purchased number.

Managing Active Numbers

All numbers you’ve purchased or connected will appear under Active Numbers.

From this page, you can:

  • Assign a number to a specific Voice Agent
  • View number region, type, and details
  • Release numbers you no longer need
  • Replace or swap numbers
  • Monitor number usage and billing

This gives you full control over how your company handles inbound calls across regions.
